"I need three ladies who think they could be the best dressed up in here tonight," requests the female host. Three ladies hit the stage but only one is crowned.

This was one of many memorable moments at Sounds of Fashion (SOF), a highly anticipated event, which consisted of a fashion show combined with amazing performances from Toronto's own, and took place at Courthouse Nightclub. Hosted by on-air personality and author Shannon Boodram and VJ runner-up Marlon Palmer, it was a must see fête.

A mature crowd came dressed to impress. People greeted familiar faces and business partners. Toronto's hottest were in attendance and the spot was packed when the hosts hit the stage. Refreshing young fashion designers like RJS, Vixen Couture, Goodboy Clothing, Naz Swimwear, Peanut Butter and Jelly, RoyalzWear, Miss Niya, Malyka and Dream Design blessed the stage with styles that wowed the audience.

Royalz, 23, from RoyalzWear was thrilled to be a part of Sounds of Fashion. He has definitely progressed since his start, being the first Canadian fashion designer to do Latino Fashion Week this year. "A lot of people were shocked that I was from Canada," Royalz laughed. "It was something that new. They didn't even know we had style up here in the north." He encouraged Canadians to push the limits.

The performance list was blazing with hot performers: Hakeem, Jack Flawless, Wolf J. McFarlane, Verse-A-Tyle, PG, Mayne Ishu, and Blake Carrington were just a few who held it down. Rich Kidd was unable to make it but Royalz, Blake Carrington and Kyle Dream from Dream Design made sure they promoted the upcoming "All Eyes On Me" show featuring Blake Carrington and Rich Kidd scheduled for the following week.

Singer PG ripped the stage with Kyauna who was featured on her "Lady" single. Both ladies looked stunning. Being a part of The Remix Project has shaped PG into an artist and entrepreneur ready for the music industry. She is currently working on a mixtape that will feature the likes of Andreena Mill, C-Jewlz, Luu Breeze and Famous. She says Toronto is headed towards nothing but greatness.

"Every year is going to be bigger and better. There is amazing artists here, we just need that door to be opened," PG said smiling.

Jennifer "Unique" Robillard, 24, organizer of SOF has always been active in her community bringing youth together to get them to express themselves creatively. In her opinion The Remix Project is the best organization to push young talent out there and with a meaningful motive.

"The show was to promote change in our city -- we live up to the reputation 'Screw Face Capital' so well and it's as if we lack the support from our locals and, truthfully, we all have a common goal and that's to succeed. I have visited a lot of different cities, as a matter of fact, countries, and I have met a lot of different people; I believe that Toronto has to have some the most driven and determined people and I feel that if everyone quit trying to buy their own whip and car pooled until they could afford their own we would be recognized for having some of the most diverse individuals to hit the entertainment scene," Robillard said. "The room was filled with aspiring individuals who came in with the same type of TOGETHERNESS mentality."
