Games Wii Can Play
Life sized pictures of Toy Story characters adorned the Disney Interactive Studio game room over looking Toronto as Jon Krusell, Production Director of mystery game Guilty Party, and Jon Warner, Producer of Toy Story 3, shared for the first time their new Pixar games set to release summer 2010.
There were refreshments lining the back wall as comfy leather couches and two TVs sat up front. On one TV I had a chance to play on a Wii for the first time in a long while as I ran through a mansion trying to figure out who ate the detective's pudding in the new family-friendly mystery party game, Guilty Party, set to release exclusively on Nintendo Wii on July 27.
On the other side I was able to get a hands on shot at dashing through a ranch with Jessie from Toy Story and building a toy box in Toy Story 3, which you can find in stores June 15.
"Board games are still fun, but this is how families' game now is, on the Wii," said Krusell as he gave us an introduction into the new interactive game inspired by various Disney characters. The game supports two modes: party and story where players can either take turns gathering clues or compete to solve the case.
Toy Story 3 however, is geared at kids around ages six-14. Throughout the game you are building your own toy box and it never gets too full. The game can go on for as long as you want without getting cut off by rolling credits. "I have a toy box that was going on for 20 hours and I still haven't gotten everything," said Warner.
So whether you want to bust out your inner Sherlock Holmes or build your very own toy box without cluttering your room, keep an eye out for Disney Pixar games Guilty Party and Toy Story 3 this summer.
